ENTRANT / STANDBY (SENTRY)

This course covers the entering and working in confined spaces for the resources and infrastructure industries. It includes:

• Legislative documentation

• Hazard Identification - Inherent & Introduced
• Implementation of control measures for Confined Space
• Carrying out work in Confined Spaces
• Site specific procedures
• Practical Exercises

 

Course Details

The AITP Confined Space Entry course is based upon 8 hours of instruction and training. The format for the conduct of the course can be customised to meet the needs of the organization.
                                               
 

Certification

The AITP Confined Space Entry course is based on two units of competency within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF):
RIIOHS202A Enter and work in Confined Spaces
RIIRIS201A Conduct local risk assessment
.
 

Course Requirements

1. Classroom facilities appropriate for the number of students,
2. Range of confined spaces that reflect the normal workplace.
   
 

Candidate requirements

Candidates are required to wear comfortable clothing and enclosed footware (or as per the site specific requirements for personal protective equipment – PPE).
   

Training requirements:

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the skills covered by these units through written and practical assessments on the day of training.
Successful completion of all aspects results in the issue of a statement of Attainment for these units.
Maximum number of participants = 10.

Who Should Attend

All attendees must be 18 years or older. It is recommended that all personnel involved in the resources and infrastructure industries attend this course.
   

 All AITP Trainers/Assessors are qualified and experienced in their field/s.
