| This qualification consists of 9 units of competence and can be achieved by attending a training course, through the Skills Recognition (RPL) process OR a combination. Attending a training course: Delivered over a total of 7 days. Candidates will then apply their skills learned from this course by completing projects in their workplace. (Minimum numbers apply) Skills Recognition (RPL) process: For those candidates who already have the knowledge, skills and experience as a Safety Practitioner (Safety/ HSE Advisor or higher) you are encouraged to apply to AITP to have your current and recent experience recognised through this process. Suitable for Safety Advisors, Safety and Health/ HSE Advisors, workplace Supervisors and Team Leaders, workplace Administrators, HR and Training Department personnel, the Certificate IV in OHS course provides the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure safety systems and activities are implemented and monitored across the workplace. Candidates generally undertake this qualification because they have specific OHS responsibilities that relate to work teams and individuals; additionally, they are responsible for managing a range of OHS issues within the workplace. The full price for this course is $2800 - partially funded PPP places are sometimes available - The current allocation expire on 15 December 2011. Cost for full course (after subsidy) is $2171.30.
