Facilitation Skills

Facilitation Skills is delivered as a 1 day or 2 day course and can be delivered at a venue in Perth or in the workplace.

This course is aimed at those who want to understand and confidently apply the principles and techniques of effective facilitation for different audiences to achieve positive outcomes.  AITP offers this course as a 1 day or a 2 day course, with Day Two enabling participants to demonstrate advanced techniques of effective facilitation to achieving positive outcomes by managing contentious issues and complex situations with different audiences, and greater opportunity to apply the techniques covered in Day One.

Topics covered in Day One include the principles of successful facilitation, facilitation techniques, facilitation processes for working with individuals and various sized groups, interpersonal communication techniques to achieve positive outcomes, managing personality differences, defusing a difficult situation, engaging reluctant or difficult participants, guidelines for designing and facilitating an effective outcome, understanding and improving your facilitation style, giving and receiving feedback, practising facilitation techniques.

Day Two allows participants greater opportunity to practise designing and facilitating effective outcomes, as well as using different group processes when working with difficult individuals or groups.
