Foundations of Training and Assessment

This course consists of 2 units of competence and is delivered in the Candidate’s workplace over 3 days. Upon successful completion learners will receive a Statement of Attainment listing the two units TAEDEL301A and TAEASS301A. Learners are expected to use existing training resources and assessment tools from their workplace. AITP will then customise the course to meet the needs of the organisation. (Minimum numbers apply)

A good starting point for workplace trainers and assessors who do not need the full qualification or those who want a basic foundation from which to begin, Candidates learn to maintain a high training and assessment standard in accordance with the established training management system of their workplace.

At the Certificate III level topics addressed in this course include the elements of providing assistance in an established training and assessment system, using established resources and assessment tools.  Candidates will learn how to clarify learning outcomes and deliver effective workplace instruction and demonstration, and explore what it means to assess for competence and assist in the evidence-gathering process.

This course can be built upon as the learner’s knowledge and experience grows, and can lead to further training towards the full TAE40110 qualification.
