Presentation Skills |
| We offer a choice of 1 day or 2 day courses. The 2 day course covers the same topics in more depth and also offers the opportunity to practice the skills that are covered. Both are offered as a public course @ $235.10/$444.60pp (usually held at our Henderson offices) or a corporate course @ $1074.47/$2147.47 plus $22.95pp materials cost (for a group of up to 20 people who all work for same organisation/at a venue of your choosing). This course is delivered in 1 day or 2 day sessions. Participants will gain an understanding of the principles and techniques of professional presentations and identify how to create effective and interesting impromptu and prepared presentations. On the second day, participants bring along prepared presentations and participate in further impromptu presentations and have greater opportunity to practice the concepts explored on Day One. Topics covered in Day One include successful presentation principles & techniques, structuring and preparing presentations, targeting your audience, techniques to control nerves, using body language, tone, other attention holding devices, notes, prompts and visual aids, anticipating and responding to questions, making presentation engaging, presenting statistics and facts in interesting ways, presenting information persuasively, understanding your preferred style, impromptu speaking techniques, public speaking techniques, self evaluation processes, giving effective individual and group feedback, receiving feedback, practising impromptu speaking techniques, practising speaking techniques. The second day allows participants further opportunity to apply the skills learned in Day One, to determine their preferred presentation styles and hone their presentation skills focusing on a variety of audience types, sizes and themes, self evaluation and receiving feedback on their presentations. |
