Rigging Courses (RB)

This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to safely conduct Rigging Activities as specified under the standards applicable to a Basic Rigger.  Successful completion of all requirements leads to the issue of a Statement of Attainment for TLID3107C.

Note: Prerequisite is to hold DG Worksafe Certification.

 

Course Objectives

The Basic Rigging course provides candidates with the appropriate skills and knowledge to:

  • Interpret site plans and identify site hazards associated with the planned rigging activities
  • Identify materials that are to be moved and the appropriate resources to conduct those activities
  • Rigging activity planning
  • Inspect Rigging equipment for damage and reject unsafe equipment
  • Comply with any applicable Standards / Codes of Practice / Regulations that are applicable to the planned Rigging activities

Pre-requisites
All candidates wishing to attend the Basic Rigging course MUST hold Certification as a Dogger (DG).
